Our client was accused of raping a woman who lived in his apartment complex.
The woman called the police while the client was in her apartment. When the police arrived, they found her naked in the bedroom and semen was located on the bed and on her clothing. A rape kit was conducted and additional semen was collected. Our client adamantly maintained his innocence and claimed that he was framed by the woman and her boyfriend.
We obtained a court order to have the semen from the apartment and rape kit compared to our client’s DNA. We were able to get the GBI to conduct the test which confirmed that the semen was not from our client. The DA’s office dismissed the charges the very next day.
