In the early 2000s, Bernard represented a number of clients who had been falsely accused of sexual offenses.

He was shocked by the number of innocent people being accused of horrific sex crimes, including child molestation, rape, and possession of child pornography.

These were highly respected people who were having their lives utterly ruined by false claims or misconstrued situations. The motives and specifics varied from claims to gain leverage in a divorce to lies told out of spite or for revenge, but in all of these cases, proving that the allegations were, in fact, false was not easy.

After exonerating a string of clients accused of some very serious charges, Bernard thought he could do more. He spent the next decade immersing himself in the practice of defending sex offense allegations. This led him to develop a comprehensive understanding of how these false allegations are made and, more importantly, how to prove it.

Bernard has spent a great deal of time studying how false memories are formed in children, how children can be influenced by adults, and under what circumstances that can occur. He has learned how to identify what he calls “the ingredients of a false allegation” and how to educate the police and prosecutors when these signs are present in his cases.

Always Gave His Full Attention & Respect

What I really admire about his practice is that he always gave me his full attention and respect. He was able to do that because he only takes few cases and this allows him to focus on the case and the client.

He has since become a legal authority in computer forensics and lectures frequently about how lawyers can interpret computer data and use evidence from computers, devices and cell phones to prove their clients’ innocence. He has also become passionate about Internet Sting Operations and defending the large number of innocent people who get arrested as a result of deceptive and misguided police tactics.

His passion for this area of the law stems directly from the fact that he has been able to help prove the innocence of countless falsely accused clients over the years. There is nothing in this profession that is more rewarding.

In 2011, Bernard founded Brody Law Firm to offer highly-focused representation for those accused of sex crimes in Georgia. The firm intentionally limits the number of cases it takes so that they can devote more time, attention, and skill to their clients than virtually any other firm.

This level of attentiveness is often the difference that gives our clients a far better chance of securing positive results before an accusation devastates their lives.

Over the years, we have handled several hundred sex offense cases throughout Georgia and have achieved outstanding results for our clients. Many defense lawyers in Georgia hold themselves out as “sex crimes attorneys” however, our firm is passionately devoted to defending people accused of sex crime allegations and that is all that we do.
