Child molestation charges dismissed in Pike County

State of Georgia v. T.O.

We represented the son of a respected City Councilman on allegations that he molested his stepdaughter.

Once we were aware of the allegations, we worked quickly to investigate the case and set up a polygraph for the client. We were able to present the results of our investigation to the Pike County Sheriff’s Department prior to the issuance of an arrest warrant.

We persuaded the detectives that the girl’s statements had major inconsistencies and that there was a considerable amount of evidence supporting our client’s innocence. Fortunately, we were able to convince the Sheriff’s Department not to prosecute our client.

This saved our client, and his family, from the inevitable rash of negative publicity that would have followed an arrest in this case. This case is a perfect example of the benefits of getting an experienced attorney involved in the case at the earliest possible moment.
