Child molestation charges against Cobb County pediatrician resolved

State of Georgia v. C.C.

Our client was a respected pediatrician in Marietta and he was arrested on charges of child molestation.

The charges stemmed from an accusation made by the babysitter of his children that our client kissed her and fondled her on several occasions. The girl had made a recording of a phone conversation she had with him where he was apologizing to her for one of the incidents.

Prior to indictment, we were able to present the DA’s office with extensive evidence of our client’s impeccable background as well as mitigating circumstances that helped explain the conduct underlying the accusation. We were then able to convince the prosecutors to dismiss the child molestation charges and allow our client to enter a plea to sexual battery. He received a sentence of straight probation.
